Then we went to my appointment and, long story short, I am having eye muscle surgery to correct my esotropia on July 6th! :D It's been a long time coming and I am glad to get it done, but it is so soon!
But, let's move on to the best part of the day.....We Found it!
With a tree getting in the way....what else is new!
After talking with Meg yesterday, I was convinced to try the Whole Foods Hot Bar! My mom and I loved it! I didn't think I liked tofu until I ate this.....I got some bakery goods...a fat free carrot cake muffin, chocolate chip vegan cookie and oatmeal raisin vegan cookie. I have had their bakery vegan cookies before and they are To. Die. For.
I promptly cut this bad boy in half, wrapped it in foil and stuck it in the freezer with the cookies.
(can't wait to try both of 'em!)
(never seen these before!)
- Cinnamon Puffins (they had a $1 off coupon in-store)
- B2N Oatmeal Cookies (another in-store coupon)
- 365 Tortilla Chips (my mom wanted to try these babies!)
- Spelt Pretzels (my mom is a pretzel aficionado)
- 365 Vegetarian Chili
- Bulk Bin Ginger Snaps
- Bulk Bin PB Malt Ball thingis (I tried a bite of one right when I got in the car and..YUM!)
- Bulk Bin "Fig Newton" (my mom got this and really liked it!)
When I got home around 3, I had a cheese stick and some grapes.
Followed by some Stacy's Pita Chips with Crunchy PB (and the remainder of my Stacy's *crack* Chips..about another handfull or two).
And two baby bowls of Cinnamon Puffins
(in a cup, with a baby spoon....cuz that's how I roll!)
I also got some portabello 'shrooms, a red bell peppers (who knew they were ever sold by the pound?!..$.80 is a steal!), bananas and a bunch of broccoli at the store....
WHAT WILL I MAKE THIS WEEK!? SOOOOO many options!
Now, it's time to SPINNNNNN! :D

ReplyDeleteso jealous of your whole foods purchases, beautiful :) Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWow, you definitely made out at Whole Foods! I love going to Whole Foods with my mom, because I get to purchase a lot (usually with her money....) it's quite nice.
ReplyDeleteI love cheese sticks. I rarely see anyone post about cheese sticks, I'm glad to see them on your post, they are my favorite!! I usually get the light ones, with 60 calories, you can't even tell the difference.
congrats on finding whole foods! it's like me and trader joe's now. i used to live five minutes away from both of them! now i drive 25 minutes for tj's. so worth it.
ReplyDeleteI just ate that exact chili for lunch. Good purchase.
ReplyDeleteYou're making me wanna go to Whole Foods RIGHT NOW! Haha! But unfortunately I don't have my WF appointment til Friday ;) haha! I have to limit myself, it's sad. I'm so happy you got SO many goodies, and enjoyed the food bar - everything is so damn impressive. I can tell you that you'll totally wanna go back ASAP. It'll become a bad habit, you're lucky it's far enough away. If it were any closer it'd be dangerous.
ReplyDeleteAnywho, so glad to hear your prognosis and I wish you the best during the procedure! Hopefully it will help out immensely!
Can't wait to see what you make this week!
Love,
Meg
p.s. humidity or not, you are gorgeous!!

I love WF's hot bar, There are so many options. The only thing is that it's so expensive.
ReplyDeleteIf you like their tofu, you should definitely try baking tofu with spices (the way that I make them). It is H.E.A.V.E.N.
Oh! I haven't had portabello mushrooms in soOo long! They make a mean burger. So woodsy and hearty.
awesome stuff you bought at whole foods!
