Faux Fried Fest

That is what I had for "lunch". After a very late breakfast consisting of french toast and a banana, I found my tummy grumbling around 3 and decided to throw together some of my favorite oven foods. In 6 days, I will no longer have an oven at my fingertips! :( What you see below is Morning Star Farms Mini Corn Dogs, Alexia Sweet Potato Fries, water and my brand new book......

Both of those two little plates are Christmas presents from my mom. I have a thing for cute, small dishes. :)

The Healthy Skeptic! (Another Christmas present...from my brother) I am so excited to dive into this book. The subtitle is "Cutting through the HYPE about your health". I will be sure to let you know how it is as I read through it!

I see some Celestial Seasonings Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride tea in my future. This stuff is amazing with a bit of sweetener....tastes exactly like a sugar cookie! My mom and I stock up everytime we go to Target because
1. That is the only place I have been able to find it around here
2. It is a holiday edition so it will not be around forever :(
We have an arsenal of about 25 boxes so far! It's actually pretty funny. I plan on taking about half of them to school with me. YUM!

Currently, I am watching my favorite show ever: GILMORE GIRLS! I am such a GG junkie, it's not even funny! We own all 7 seasons on DVD and I have been watching them for over 3 or 4 years.

Edited To Add: Sugar Cookie Tea with a packet of splenda and a package of Vortmann's Flax Seed Omega 3 Cookies. These cookies are delicious. They are fairly thin, but chewy. You can see flax seeds dispersed throughout the batter (I wish they were ground, so the health benefits of the flax seeds would be more readily available; but nevertheless, these are a keeper!) Better yet, 2 good-sized cookies are only 160 calories, which is not to shabby!

The Final Hours of 2008

Hey! Just a quick check in before I ring in the new year. My days of vacation are coming to the end as I go back to school on Jan. 5 and start classes on Jan. 7! I hope everyone has enjoyed the Holidays!

My New Years Resolutions are as follows:

1. Keep the blog updated

2. Go to the Rec Center 5X each week

3. Eat Right (that could not be more blunt, but I know what that means for me.) I think I need to pay more attention to my body and eat what makes me feel good and stay fit (which includes ice cream of course). I usually do this, but the Holidays kind of got the best of me!

What are your New Years Resolutions?!

Now it's time to wash dishes, finish a scholarship, take care of my two babies (i.e. puppies) and [although I go to TTU] hope that U of H pulls through (for my brother's sake).

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Fitnessista is a genious....

This morning for breakfast I thoroughly enjoyed my fitnessista breakfast cookie that I made last night. These are just genious! I followed it with an ice cream cone made with Breyer's Fat Free Chocolate Cookies and Cream. Yea, I know it's morning right? But I was in the mood, so that's what I had. I am about to do an hour long yoga session thanks to some inspiration from Jenna. Enjoy your holidays and I will see you for lunch!

By the way, I am going to start taking pictures of my food! Im new to this whole blogging thing, but I will get the hang of it!

Join me...

Wow this year just flew by! I am currently back home; but in less than 2 weeks, I will be back at my college dorm focused on my studies and what not. During my second semester of college, I am planning on updating this food blog daily as a way to keep track of my eats. Feel free to leave comments and join me!

Merry Christmas!
