Smooth Move

Dinner last night was a yummy spread of various snackies! It started out with my brand new blue oblong plate that I got from Target for $1.99 yesterday! Great for presentation. (And my mom and I bought these mini forks last time I was home! They are "Cocktail Forks", but I love using them because they are so fun!)

I started out with a pile of lettuce and put a mound of tuna salad on top (simply one can of chunk light tuna mixed with honey mustard and a bit of mayo), a handfull of carrots, a couple of Chipotle Cheddar Pretzel Crisps (just to try! and they were really good....didn't taste any heat, which I liked and they were a tad bit too salty; but good nonetheless!) & a handful of Triscuits (I went back for another handful or two of triscuits!).

Then my mom and I played some rounds of Sequence while watching GILMORE GIRLS and stayed up waaaay too late! I had about 3 of these baby cups of Kashi Honey Sunshine (about 1 cup total?!).

Thanks to the late night, I slept in until 10:30! WOWZERS! I am letting myself sleep in without an alarm these next few days until school starts on May 11th because I think I need the rest! Anyways, when I woke up, I ran downstairs to put my brand new BLENDER to good use! OH MY, this blender is amazing! I used a 1/2-1 cup crushed ice, lots of milk, 1 overly ripe banana and a handful of frozen sliced strawberries. I only had to blend it for about 10 seconds and there were NO chunks at all! I am amazed! (I plan on getting some frozen yogurt and attempting a Kevaccino imposter soon!)
Now I need some stellar smoothie recipes! What do you have for me?!
You can blend the single serve cup right on the base (or you can blend the big daddy if you are making more than one serving!). It was only $29.99 at Target and you got a $10 Target giftcard for buying it! :D

  2. What kind of blender do you have? I'm looking for a new one that can crush ice and make hummus without getting overwhelmed/overheated. :-)

  7. What an awesome blender, I LOVE that you can blend it straight up in a serving size cup, instead of having to dirty up a new container! That's a great blue plate too :) I'm glad you're letting yourself sleep in a bit, I'm sure you need the rest after finals and your crazy roomie!

  12. Pretzel things are so delicious (and so addictive)!

Make this smoothie NOW: milk, silken tofu, dates, nutmeg, ice.

And put GROUND GINGER (the powder) into any smoothie you make with fruit (I'm really liking carrot/POM/apple right now). It really kicks it up a notch!
