How to SCORE an old time favorite...

That title has 3 parts! Let's dive in, shall we?!

HOW TO...
Cut an orange...the emily way!
I do not like that middle white part (it's hard to chew and just annoying!)...SOO
Slice along the sides
Cut underneath the white (as close as possible to the top), joining your prior two cuts!
SCORE... I have an interview at a local Frozen Yogurt place Saturday Morning at 9:30AM! WISH ME LUCK and KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS! :D They said they are looking for someone to start immediately after Saturday!

Breakfast: Fruit and a Kashi Heart to Heart Waffle with 1T of PB! These are the best waffles ever! I was so distracted by emails and blogs that the next time I glanced at the clock it was 10 minutes past the time I was supposed to leave and I hadnt eaten my orange...EEEK! I still made it to school on time! I'm sly like that! ;)

A Homemade Oatmeal Cookie held me over while something super delish was cooking....
An Old Time Favorite!!
Amy's No Cheese Roasted Vegetable Pizza ROCKS! It has the BEST CRUST EVER and I absolutely adore it! :-)
Later on, I finished off about 1/4c FF Refried Beans with a few tortilla chips as a snack! And had a 100 Cal bag of Popcorn!
Midday Dessert! One Banana, 1.5 scoops of Kemps Fat Free Strawberry FroYo, a drizzle of chocolate syrup and a dose of colorful sprinkles! SMILE! :D

I had a small bowl of cereal and then went to spinning class at 6:45! I love how spinning really challenges you! When I got home, it was 8:15 and I wanted something QUICK!
  • 2 Slices of WW Bread
  • 1 Slice of Individually Wrapped Velveeta Cheese (I didn't buy it, but sometimes I can't resist the melty goodness of Velveeta when it's right in front of me....plus the nutritional panel didn't look to shabby for these single serve slices)
  • A Hearty Spread of Fat Free Cream Cheese

I grilled it on my baby foreman and drooled as I dug in! The Cream Cheese really adds a special element taste-wise and it was so melty and hot! MMM!

I also steamed about 1 cup of veggies and doused them with the rest of my Pacific Foods Butternut Squash Soup (I love those resealable containers!).
Great 5 minute Meal!

I just had about a bowl or so of cereal and am about to watch King of Queens and call it a night! I am thinking about a refreshing smoothie for breakfast.....if I get around and have enough time! lol

Looking back...this was a quick post......o well! Still great Eats! I think I need to work on having less snacks and more balanced meals.....we'll see how that goes!
*
What is your favorite 5 minute meal?!

P.S. Gina gave me a stellar Ice Cream recipe, so I can finally whip out my ICE CREAM MAKER!My mom got it for me for Christmas a while back (the perfect gift) on a MAJOR SALE! It is amazing! :D I don't have all of the ingredients yet, but I will soon!

  1. OMG I love that Amy's pizza, so tasty! Interesting orange cutting method, quite brilliant actually! I hate the white part too, and whenever I try to slice my oranges they always look totally massacred, so I'll have to give this a try! I'm hoping you get the job!!

  2. I just split the big size of that amy's pizza with my dad tonight!! So, so good....we even added a little bit of cheese to melt on top for fun!

Oats only take 5 minutes....so a bowl of oats w/ peanut butter, fruit, etc would be my favorite!

Hmmm... my favorite 5 minute meal would probably be any of the kashi frozen entrees, they are delicious!! Especially the coconut chicken. It's a must-try if you haven't had it yet! MmMm!

  4. Thanks for sharing how to cut an orange. Definitely good to know. And your oatmeal cookie looks fabulous!
    Good luck with the interview!
An easy 5 minute meal for me is a peanut butter sandwich. Or a frozen trader joe's meal.

  6. I LOVE King Of Queens! Ha...such a great show.

My favourite 5 minute meal, aside from Amy's burritos, would be sandwiches- current obsession is quorn "ham" with spinach, tomato chutney and either laughing cow cheese or some cheddar. Can't go wrong with sandwiches IMO!

That pizza looks DELICIOUS - Amy's always knocks out any other pizza! Mmm!

My fave 5 minute recipe would have to be any kind of oats in the morning! OR a cereal yogurt mess with almond butter and frozen peaches mixed in!!

    Meg
