Rock My Face Off

How is your Thursday going? Here's how mine started off... Fun right?!

Anyways, last night, I had the best snack ever! I crumbled a toasted PLD Oatmeal Raisin Cookie into a Jello Vanilla Chocolate pudding and swirled my way into a deep, delicious, foodie coma! I also had a piece of bread at one point yesterday; which would be totally random if EarthGrains WheatBerry Bread didn't completely rock my face off...
This morning I woke up to a Cherry Omega Bar courtesy of http://www.flaxmatters.com/. It had a unique texture that I would describe as a mix between a rice krispy treat and a dense, moist, granola bar known as Honest Foods. The dried cherries added a little boost of natural sweetness to every unsuspecting bite. Plus, I snuck in some much needed Omega-3's, so what's to lose? Nothing, I'd say!
And by 12:30, Alexa and I were hungry. What ELSE would pop into our minds, but Keva Juice. I know, I know...this is the...umm...third day in a row. How can I say no to a perfect 24oz blend of nonfat frozen yogurt, skim milk, a handful of strawberries, a dusting of mocha, a drizzle of chocolate and a spoonful of protein powder?
I just can't. Period.
We also got some free Kim & Scott's Pretzels (We are there almost every day...we know people...haha). I snagged the spinach feta stuffed pretzel and as delicious as it was, I was stuffed after devouring about 2/3 of it! You can find these in your grocer's freezer too, so keep an eye out for 'em. They are well worth it!
The oh-so-GREEN center! MMM! so good!
Right before Gilmore Girls came streaming through my circa 1990's TV (it's totally legit!), I toasted up a PLD Carrot Raisin Muffin Top and left it in the toaster until the edges were brown and crunchy. It smelled like Christmas! :D
So dense and flavorful...did it just pop out of the oven? No? Just Checking.
I then invited LC to my carrot fest
For dinner, I rocked my face off. PB&J Style! ...with a cahhhraunchay (haha) Braeburn
And now, I am getting ready to watch our Basketball team lead the way to victory! ;) Don't forget to enter this nutty girl's cookie-licious giveaway (and come back friday/sat. for mine!)! Just call me the cookie monster...Oh and Emily (THIS Emily) is having the cutest giveaway ever (well, the idea...I don't know if pumpkin butter and soap is exactly "cute" haha) ! Photo Shoot

Hey Hey!

How are you, my lovely readers?! Today, at 7:50AM, I didn't really feel like walking out into the 35mph winds to get to Chemistry, so I stalled with a little photo shoot.

Honest Foods Apple Ginger Bar- Okay, here's the story. At first "bite", I was NOT in love with this bar. Visions of green granny smith caramel apples came dancing through my head (and I'm not really the green sour apple kind of girl). However, after another bite, the whole caramel apple aspect was lost, but the green apple flavor went through and through. Then, I realized that the other sensation tickling my tastebuds was the prominent ginger flavor that resonates throughout the bar. My final comparison= a gingerbread cookie with granny smith apple juice/dried apples baked in. Okay, that sounds odd. But I would call it UNIQUE. And it is, unique! 1/3 of the way through, I was truly enjoying this bar. If you are looking for something to switch it up from the norm, something that you have never tasted before...Honest Foods can hook you up! Oh and there is NO strong (or weak) aftertaste...a BONUS!

"Lunch" was a random Bagel with Jam, a 2% Cheese wedge and an apple. Followed by lots of munching on a brownie...err....Chocolate Little Bites (!!!).
After my LAST CHEM LAB (sorry, had to let out a silent cheer), Alexa and I went to Keva Juice and I tried the Peppermint Patty smoothie/milkshake/most awesome thing ever made in a cup. It was PHENOMENAL and reminded me of this dreamy bar.
And lastly, my friends and I went to this awesome ceremony for the University tonight where you sing carols, drink hot chocolate, freeze and watch as the Christmas lights on the whole campus come on, along with the MASSIVE Christmas Tree! :D So much fun!

December 1 = Snow

Hey Everyone! Have you emailed me yet? I know that you want to participate...! :D

I woke up this morning and decided to whip up some oats (my last pkg!). I took a package of Nature's Path Apple Cinnamon Oats, 1/2 c milk, 1/2 banana chopped and let the micro work it's magic. Then, I remembered this MaraNatha PB Jar that I had saved!

HELLO Oats in a Jar! It was divine...However, there may have been too much PB left in this jar (wait, what?!). It was sticking to the roof of my mouth! haha
OH SOOO Creamy!
The last bite...sad...
As I was concocting my Dorm-Made Latte, I glanced out the window and saw SNOW!

I live in TX, let me remind you!
After lots of Chem Lab Preparation, it was time for a toasty lunch! Enter: Stacy's Pita Chips and Amy's Low Fat Cream of Tomato Soup. This soup appeared quite thick, but had such a delicate pureed texture with a robust tomato flavor that was accented by the hint of organic cream and spices. MMM!
Perfect Pairing!
Should have seen that coming!
Then, I snagged a Vitamin Water 10 and set out to do my math homework...
Then, I indulged in some Cherry Cobbler!
Thick and creamy style... ;)
Around 5:30, my roommates and I headed to Texas Roadhouse and had a BLAST! After enjoying one of their signature rolls and a tossing a few peanut shells on the floor, I ordered a lean pork chop, a plain sweet potato and some veggies! Great food, great times!

Here's some relevant GG action:

"Richard: Pork is bred leaner these days. It has a different taste. Less fat equals less flavor. Yet another example of the great advances man has made: flavorless pork. Hurrah for the opposable thumbs."
Although, mine was the polar opposite of what Richard is describing!

Wednesday is going to be soo soo soo soo soo soo soo Busy! Whew. I'm already tired and it hasn't even hit me yet! :/
