Sustenance for Sweet-Heart Bread

Lookie at what I found on the shelves yesterday:
I swear...every comapny is trying to copy Arnie! It's redic!

Nature's Own Healthy Multi-Grain Sandwich RoundsI'm not sure who dubbed these "healthy". Check out that ingredient list! :/
Expected Nutrtion Profile:
Overall, it tasted just like the Oroweat/Arnold Sandwich Thins. I topped mine with some homemade baked beans, chopped avocado, chopped red bell pepper and lots of cheeese! and put it in the oven while my kale chips cooked up to a crispy perfection!
Once I was fully fueled, I set off on my baking adventure. I started with this recipe as inspiration, but changed it up enough to call it my own. It shall be dubbed Sweet-Heart Bread and here is how you whip it up:
  • Dissolve 1 pkg of Active Dry Yeast into 1/4 cup warm water.
  • Cream together 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup sugar. This bread is not very sweet, so up it to 1/2 cup if you want your bread sweeter! I prefer to top mine with PB, chocolate sauce, etc and dress it up in my own way, so long as I have a soft and delightful base to start with!

  • Add the Yeast Mixture, 1/2 cup milk, 3 eggs and 1/4 cup chia seeds to the creamed butter from above.

  • Blend in 2c of WW flour and 1.5 cups of All Purpose Flour, along with a dash of salt.

  • Rise in a warm place for 2 hours or so. I placed mine on top of the DVR! haha That thing generates some heat!

  • Preheat Oven to 400F.

  • Layer about half of your dough into the bottom of a greased bundt pan.

  • Prepare a little filling of sorts: 1/4c peanut butter, 1/4c cocoa powder, 1/4c coffee and 1/3c sugar.
  • Layer about half of the filling on top of the dough. Top with the remaining dough. Actually, the bread could have two layers of filling, but I was too impatient with the dough and just did one and saved the rest to use as an "icing".
  • Bake for about 25 minutes
  • Pop it out and devour! Honestly, ditch the filling and this would make some AWESOME bread for sandwiches and the sort. It is so dense, soft and delicious...very good and not very sweet. I'm left wishing that I had left out the filling to make this yummy bread more versatile!

    MMM! I ♥ Bread!

Goooo-oood icing! :D
Fluffy, dense and divine!

Off to start on my research paper! meh..maybe Regis and Kelly can provide some inspiration!? ;)

DOYLE: What is this?

RORY: Strawberry ice cream.

DOYLE: It has strawberries in it.

RORY: I don't even know how to
respond to that.

I used to be all about Sandwich thins...now I'm all about wraps, though the thins are great to have on hand! I think I prefer the bagel thins, though :) Better for toasting!
