- I heated 1/2-3/4cup of skim milk on the stove in a saucepan (don't let it boil, but make sure it's extra hot...low and slow).
- Then, when your coffee is done, pour it into a mug and rinse the French Press.
- Pour your steamy, hot milk into the French Press.
- Pump it until you can pump no more... (If you only use 1/2-3/4cup like I did, you will have to tilt the french press in order for it to work...but work it does!! YAY!).
- Pour the foam-y milk mixture into your mug and top with a dash of cinnamon, cocoa or something festive! Enjoy!
One fabulous start to my day...
Different Bowl, Same Supercalifragalisticexpialadocious Mix
(OMG...so that song (the Mary Poppins Supercali...Song) just started to play on the TV right after I typed that...wierd...Regis & Kelly always keep me on my toes!).
One more picture...simply because I am obsessed.
As if this morning wasn't good enough, I won some Kay's Naturals products from Lynn and Christy of The Actor's Diet! I have been wanting to try these for so long! (I just found out that I also won some Heart Thrives from Monica!). After Regis & Kelly are done making me laugh, I'm going for a run!
*What's on your agenda for today? (Going to the store to buy a French Press should probably be added to your list...)
*Have you ever made foam with a French Press?
look atchu miss barista... you make my coffee look like bath water!
ReplyDeleteGenius! When I couchsurfed in Austria, one of the girls I stayed with made the most amazing lattes I have EVER had (seriously), using a French press to foam!
ReplyDeleteI may consider the french press for the purpose of foan because I am utterly retarded when it comes to using my espresso machine steamer to make foam/steamed milk/frotherd milk whatev! I always make a mess bigger than anything I have have seen before. Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteNice French Press action! Foam is the best part of a cuppa joe, no?
ReplyDeleteso jealous you know how to make foam!! i wish I could make that!! foam is the best part after all :)
ReplyDeleteFOAM! Love it. My parents let me have the foam from their lattes since i was like 6 months old...lol it was kind of weird for other people to hear a toddler request a "latte" out in public though. i didn't realize you could use a french press to foam!
ReplyDeleteive never made foam! i LOVE it tho..so frothy and chic :)
ReplyDeletethat IS pretty clever! fun way to make foam. have you seen those $2 frothers at ikea? my new roommate has one and it works wonders!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning those goodies! I had no idea you could make foam in a french press...all the more reason for me to buy one now!
ReplyDeleteI've never cared for lattes or any fancy coffee drink, but I must admit the foam is fun
ReplyDeletethat looks amazing- never done it but looks delicious :)
ReplyDeleteI had no idea the French press would do that! I love mine. I'll have to try it out. I wonder if almond or hazelnut milk will foam at all.

Oh my gosh I feel like an idiot! I have a french press and just got a milk frother for Christmas which I begged someone to buy me... HAHA. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteWell I sure love French Press coffee...never made foam with it, but for $15?! Sounds like that might be an important investment to make for my spring semester ;)!
ReplyDeleteMy mom bought a cappuchino maker once, and I used to use the frother constantly. I used it so much that I decided to purchase just a hand held frother. I swear I used it 3 times a day! I was obsessed. I love frothed milk. I also like to add flavor shots, like vanilla or caramel!
ReplyDeleteYES! I make foam all the time with my french press....LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteNot with a french press - only the espresso machine @ work.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, love that foam!! I wish I had a french press.
