Just a quick post of some beautiful and tasty eats from today!

Breakfast! I am loving these Mini Van's Waffles!
They make for AWESOME presentation and a fun eating experience!
  • PB/Strawberries
  • FF Vanilla yogurt/peaches
N 'n D CaLzOnE
(eaten for dinner after my first day of working...by myself! No more training! It went WELL!).
I layered my roasted veggies from the other day, black beans, chopped onion and a little spaghetti sauce over a whole grain Flat Out Wrap. Then, I baked it at 425* for about 7 minutes.
Lastly, fold your crispy Flat Out in half and serve over a bed of crisp romaine! YUM! That is alot of "crisp" going on right there, no?!
FULLLLL of FLAVOR!

Holey Bang of a Giveaway

Holey Donuts Vs. Krispy Kreme.....Not Even A Competition!

Holey Donuts has the process down to a science....
We knew we had something very special, but we also knew that
the donuts would be very difficult to produce, having to be made individually by
hand, requiring skills that have mostly been taken over by machines today. These
premium, low fat gourmet donuts would require 22 steps from the mixing, hand
rolling, cutting, special patented cooking process; and that's all before we
hand fill and decorate each donut with the finest homemade care. One by one, we
then gently hand package and freeze the donuts before shipping them to you with
our carefully designed frozen FedEx delivery system. Once the donuts arrive at
your home, we encourage you to store your treats in the freezer, and then follow
the instructions on the box to have the ultimate, guilt free treat. It’s like
having your own donut shop in your freezer... ever had a warm donut? If you
haven't you need to try this. Through our little shop in New York (yes, we are
only mail order, sorry no store to visit yet) we have become the media darling.
First it was word of mouth, then the celebrities, then the media from New York
to Tokyo. -
Frank Dilullo, Founder of Holey Donuts!

HOLEY DONUTS!
Here is a review of each and every Holey Donut that I was given the wonderful opportunity to sample! Prepare to drool!

Jumbo Reduced Fat Cinnamon Bun
(340 Calories, 5g fat, 1.0g saturated fat, 2g fiber, 29g sugar, 8g protein)

Holey Donuts really has this recipe down (as with all of their goodies!). I mean not only are the Cinnamon Buns HUGE (the picture only shows half of one!), but they are everything that a cinnamon bun should be: big, fluffy, embedded with cinnamon, smothered in a sweet glaze and rolled into a plump spiral of deliciousness. Then, Holey Donuts takes it up a notch by nestling delightful apple bits within the doughy layers.

You may notice that these sweet rolls are a bit higher in fat, calories and sugar than the other Holey Donut Creations. HOWEVER, they are ginormous (yes, I realize that is not technically a word! Hah). Plus, Holey Donuts compares them to Cinnabon’s Caramel Pecanbon Cinnamon Roll here and, as you can see, Holey Donuts leaves Cinnabon rotting on the shelves!

Let’s just say that my not-so-health-conscious father ate two of these fluffy sweet rolls before I even got to try one!

Low Fat Lemon Vanilla Donut Holes
(4 Donut Holes: 170 calories, 3g fat, 0.5g saturated fat, 1g fiber, 14g sugar, 3.5g protein)

Oh boy! If you are a hard core donut lover, these little guys are just for you. They are coated with the special Holey Donuts! unique fat free glaze, which makes them absolutely irresistible. Pop one in your mouth and you will instantly smile! :DLow Fat Chocolate Crumb
(149 Calories, 3g fat, 0.6g saturated fat, 1g fiber, 9g sugar, 4g protein)
This is your traditional donut topped off with a delightful chocolate frosting and crumbly goodness. Simply Delicious. Low Fat Vanilla Crumb
(148 Calories, 3g fat, 0.6g saturated fat, 1g fiber, 9g sugar, 4g protein)
While similar to the chocolate crumb, the Low Fat Vanilla Crumb has a unique vanilla frosting, which reminds me of a sinful slice of birthday cake with every bite. Low Fat Caramel Crumb
(148 Calories, 3g fat, 0.6g saturated fat, 1g fiber, 9g sugar, 4g protein)The Low Fat Caramel Crumb donut is similar to the former two; but this time, the donut is enhanced by an enjoyably sweet caramel drizzle! Boston Cream Oreo Cookie
(218 Calories, 4g fat, 0.9g saturated fat, 1g fiber, 13g sugar, 5g protein)This dense, doughy, delightfully sweet donut is my all time favorite (which is hard for me to say because they are all so yummy!). Not only is the texture perfect, but the chocolate sauce and Oreo cookies melt after taking a spin in the microwave, enrobing the hot and fluffy donut. Then, as if that was not enough, there is a big dollop of Boston Cream filling that takes this donut over the top! I suggest that you click here and order a whole box of just the Boston Cream Oreo Cookie Donut. It is the best 218 calories you will ever eat. Apple Graham Cracker
(217 Calories, 3.9g fat, 0.7g saturated fat, 1g fiber, 16g sugar, 5g protein)While I can't compare this to any donut I have ever had, it tasted like a delightful apple infused dessert that will lure in all of you apple lovers (including myself)....hook, line and sinker! It is like your own personal cake....for about 200 calories! Need I say more?!

Reduced Fat Raspberry Vanilla Truffle
(217 Calories, 3.9g fat, 0.7g saturated fat, 1g fiber, 16g sugar, 5g protein)
Yep! It tastes just as sinful as it sounds (No, actually, it tastes better!). It’s like a raspberry-filled, personal sized cake. Yet, it still retains all of the beloved qualities of a hard core jelly donut. If you zap it in the microwave (as opposed to thawing at room temperature), then the vanilla frosting melts, the fluffy donut gets warm and the raspberry filling brings it all together into a heavenly combination. Absolutely Phenomenal. Only 217 calories and 3.9g of fat? Unbelievable!
I can’t imagine my freezer without these little gems anymore! They are the most amazing, delicious, soft, gooey, yummy things! Forget cake, I am serving Holey Donuts at my next birthday party! :D If you have never tried Holey Donuts, you better change that….like now! Because life is too short to miss out on these babies!

Just another....

Review of nutritious and delicious eats!
Omelet over a thick slice of toasted whole wheat bread, topped with salsa. The omelet had a bunch of shredded cabbage, carrots, onions and cheddar cheese! A++++ in my book! An EGGcelent cross-section! (sorry, I had to!)
My produce haul (plus the sweet potato, strawberries, apples, butternut squash, etc that I already had!)
What Do I Do with the BABY BOK CHOY?! It was about $1, so I bought it! haha

*

Inspired by The Hungry Yogini, I created little cucumber wraps consisting of....
  • Thinly Sliced English Cucumber (it was towards the end and the strips were not quite as long as they should have been, but still worked ok).
  • Thinly Sliced Carrots
  • Avocado
  • Laughing Cow
I made 3 of the roll ups and garnished them with chopped cuc, carrots and the remaining LC! Along side, I had 2 HUGE Strawberries (perfect sweetness!) and one peach! Refreshing! :D
This was an incredibly enjoyable eating experience! I then tried PB Applesauce (as suggested by a reader on a former post). Good, but I could not taste the PB quite like I could in my BELOVED PB YOGURT! It still made for a creamy treat though!Brown can be deceiving! ;) Inside of this breakfast cookie is....
  • 1/3 sweet potato
  • 4 chopped strawberries
  • 1 small banana mashed
  • 1 T PB
  • 1/3c Oats
  • Cinnamon
  • walnuts

When I got up this morning, I transfered my sneaky creation from the fridge to the freezer. One hour later, I was enjoying a BRILLIANT breakfast! Has anyone else tried freezing their breakfast cookies for like one hour in the morning?! The strawberries got a nice crunch and it tasted like "healthy cookie dough" straight from the fridge! YUM!

*

Flat Out Pizza! The toppings included 2% shredded cheddar, black beans, turnips (I love them, who knew?!) and calabaza squash.

Baked at....dang, I can't remember and it was like perfect. I think it was about 425F for about 15 minutes....?! DARN!

Flash?! No Flash?! (Do you ever take more than one picture of something and they look almost the same and you can not for the life of you decide which one to use?! A fellow blogger...please back me on this! haha)

A new Clif Zbar Flavor (for me!)....Apple Cinnamon!I liked it, but it was a bit too gummy for me! I don't know what, but something about it made it not taste like a Zbar.....if that made sense. I looked through every single one of those Everyday Food magazines and ripped out pages with recipes/photos to
inspire me!
The food: Whole Grain Tortilla Chips and Fat Free Refried Black Beans! They are SOO much richer than regular refired beans! Try it!! Roasted Vegetable Salad......Romaine, Roasted Veggies (butternut squash, onion, squash and carrots....roasted at 450) and avocado. The butternut squash and abundance of roasted onion added a delightfully natural sweetness!
No Dressing Required. Are you getting tired of these babies?! I'm sure not! APPLE GRAHAM CRACKER HOLEY DONUT! While I can't compare this to any donut I have ever had, it was a delightful apple infused dessert that will lure in all of you apple lovers (including myself)....hook, line and sinker! It is like your own personal cake....for about 200 calories! Need I say more?!Alrighty guys!... I am getting annoyed with these mish mash of posts and I am trying to make more time to enjoy the art of blogging (yes, it's an art! haha). I work tommorrow from noon to 5! After that, I will be back.....WITH A BANG! Stay tuned...if you catch my drift! ;)

Makeover...your diet

The oblong blue plate made quite an appearance today.....
Breakfast = 8 mini Van's Waffles (4 with PB & Strawberries....4 with vanilla yogurt and kiwi)
This was SUCH a fun and tasty breakfast! Plus coffee of course! Turkey Roll ups with 1 oz mild cheddar cheese, triscuits and a juicy Gala apple.....refreshing!
Boston Cream Oreo Cookie Holey Donut! HOLEY! This is my all time favorite. Dense, yet fluffy, warm, gooey and stuffed with an utterly amazing cream....YUMMMMMMMM! :D

Just click here to buy a whole 6 pack of soley these little babies! I sure would! (and will when I run out! They are sooooo good!)
My babies! They like to watch me blog!

The rest of my eats were pretty boring today (a little Ice Cream, a handful of triscuits, a Kashi granola bar, PB YOGURT and a big bowl of veggie soup when I get home from SPINNING! :D...I need to go get ready by the way! lol)....SOOO I am going to forego writing and uploading another mammoth post (like yesterday) and skip those pics...........That way, I can upload pics of my new room makeover! My dad and mom painted it and then we got a new bedspread, etc. I don't have before pics because it was just too messy by the time I thought of it! Owell! Enjoy!
My friend, Melissa, & I decorated/collaged the back of my door with magazine cut-outs one summer when I was in like middle school and I can't bare to tear it all down! (and yes, I still have an old school TV...I never watch TV in my room, so I don't really need a new one).
Desk! Note the HUGE hoops & yoyo card on the bottom right shelf that Alexa got me for my birthday last year! Does anyone know who I am talking about? LOVE THEM!
BOOKS! All about food/science (unless they were required books for school......i.e. Grapes of Wrath, Cheating Culture, Founding Brothers....actually, why do I still have all of those?!).
Dresser.......jewelry.....gotta love it! ;)
All together now!
Check it out! I got this made when I was probably in 5th or 6th grade! It's so funny because it really does look like me (or did) and it's a great memory of my fabulous Disney World trip! Plus, the artist drew a "mer-dog" before he even knew how much I loved dogs!
As for the title of my post.....I need to incorporate more veggies into my diet. I like them and all, but they just don't make quite the appearance that I think they should! I'm headed to Target tommorrow after school to stock up! :D
Peace Out!

Can't Stop

I woke up super early this morning (6:30 AM!) to study for History (I think it went well!) and needed a cup of coffee. About half way through my deliciously warm and energetic beverage, my stomach started eating itself. I wasn't so much hungry as the coffee was just not sitting well on an empty stomach....so I grabbed a Kashi Honey Almond Flax Bar...All Better! :D After getting ready, I finished my morning fuel with some PB Yogurt (YAY!), a kiwi and a banana...great combo!
After school, I made a quick, but DELISH, turkey sammie. Along side, I had some veggies with Wish Bone Salad Spritzers Honey Mustard Buzz. I really like this dressing! Oh and the pink cup = WATER...and lots of it!
Advocado, Tomato, Boars Head Smoked Turkey, SWISS & Honey Mustard....best combo! Then a snack attack hit......I was genuinely hungry and nothing was satisfying me...GRRR!
Low Fat Caramel Crumb Holey Donut....SPEAKS FOR ITSELF! :D
Praeventia Bar= 100 calories of deliciousness
I decided to jump off the carb train and have an apple.....it worked!
The picture comes into effect later...keep reading! After an hour at the gym, I had like 1/4 cup Butter Pecan Ice Cream with about 1T Kashi Go Lean Crunch...I just wanted a little something cold after the gym!
Yes, that is Walmart's NSA Low Fat Butter Pecan Ice Cream.
I had never had this particular kind before & I know I should go with the real deal, but I eat IC so much that it is not very practical for me....plus, I don't drink much diet coke anymore, so I opt to get my artificial sweetener elsewhere! Then for dinner, I popped out my NEW Kashi Sicilian Veggie Pizza! It is vegan and has only 330 calories for 1/2 of the whole pizza. I really enjoyed the texture of the roasted red pepper, onion and eggplant. Plus the balsamic infused white bean tomato sauce is stellar.
HOWEVER, Amy's Roasted Vegetable Pizza has yet to be (and will probably NEVER be) dethroned!
I was planning on having a side salad; but the lettuce was bad, so I took some cabbage and added a bit of Ranch/Honey Mustard....Instant Cole Slaw! Yum!

Then I had an ice cream cone before work...and after work.....CANT STOP! I need to work on that.....
What is the one food that you honestly just can't stop eating!?!
I am seriously a GG addict....it's always on! haha

I took a pic and I will surely add it to the next post...if I try to add it now, it will mess everything up! I need to get out of blogger!
